Shalom, Friends of
Israel,
In this newsletter, you
will find several of
this week's leading
relevant headlines and,
perhaps more
importantly, their
tie-in with the Word.
You may/may not have
noticed that these
articles appear on our
blog and/or official
site. This is by design.
However, rest assured,
we will always run them
in our newsletter first,
usually 1-2 days before
posting them to our
site. This puts our
newsletter subscribers
in a favorable, albeit
trivial position as they
see our articles before
they go "live".
Israel is rapidly
approaching one of her
most vulnerable and
dangerous periods in
recent history, and all
signs point to it
getting worse, before it
gets better. Continue to
"pray for the peace of
Jerusalem" (Psa. 122:6);
that "peace be within
thy walls" (Psa. 122:7)
It's been a very active
couple of weeks on the
international stage.
Let's take a look at
some of this week's
headlines.

Condoleezza Rice
Consults Jimmy Carter
for Advice on Mideast
Peace
|

You should feel
reassured. The potential for
and future of peace between
Israel and the so-called
"Palestinians", as it were,
now rests in "good" hands.
If you believe this, then
I'd be happy to sell you a
tropical, summer retreat in
Tobolsk. The best interests
of Israel, as well as her
national security, have now
been rendered unto the
advice and insight from
former, pro-Israeli
"stalwarts", with proven
track records as peace
envoys in the Middle East,
such as Henry Kissinger,
James Baker, Bill Clinton,
and, you guessed it, Jimmy
Carter.
Earlier last week,
Dr. Rice invited Carter to
the State Department for
the purposes of discussing
the current state of affairs
concerning the facilitation
of peace between Israel and
the "Palestinians", as well
as to gather "tips" from the
former president whose most
recent book, "Palestine:
Peace not Apartheid" has
been labeled as
"controversial" as it is
"anti-Semitic". Would "Jimmy
Carter" not be the very
first name that popped into
your mind when seeking the
advice of an objective,
competent authority on the
subject of Middle East
peace?

East Peace: Condoleezza Rice

Mideast Peace: A Game of
Chess with the King of Kings |
|

If the "Palestinian"
Authority President Abu
Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas), as
well as Condoleezza Rice,
have their way, the summit
scheduled for later this
month in Annapolis,
Maryland, will likely result
in the successful creation
of a "Palestinian" state,
part of which will encompass
East Jerusalem. This will
not only divide the Jewish
capital, it will guarantee
the infusion tens of
thousands of Arabs into and
around the heartland of
Israel. History tells a
particularly disturbing tale
of what happens when the
sovereignty of Jewish land
is relinquished to the
Arabs--gestures facilitated
to broker "peace". It is
riddled with such
"gestures"; yet, remains
devoid of said "peace".
Former
Israeli Prime Minister and
current Defense Minister
Ehud Barak pledged, as his
election campaign slogan, to
withdraw from southern
Lebanon, which he did in
May, 2000, as per agreement
with Syria and Lebanon. You
ask, "What was Israel doing
in southern Lebanon in the
first place?" The answer is
clear, as it represents the
"common denominator" in most
every situation where Israel
has been forced to go on the
offensive: to protect
her national security.

Archbishop of Canterbury
Blames Israel, Ignores
Radical Islam |

This just in: the
Israeli security barrier
is the cause for the
mass emigration of Arab
Christians from the Holy
Land. Such were the
sentiments of the
archbishop of
Canterbury, Rowan
Williams. In an
interview with the
Jerusalem Post on
Thursday, Williams
blamed the ongoing, mass
exodus of Arab
Christians from Israel
on "the daily burdens
caused by the fence
faced by Christians in
Bethlehem and other
cities."
What is it about God's
Chosen people that makes
the spiritual head of
the 77 million strong
Anglican Communion
notoriously hate them so
much?

Security Fence, not

Emigration

PERSECUTION WATCH:
Christian Pastor Flees
"Palestinian" Town Amid
Threats
|

his ministry, or to offer
him your assistance, please

Despite what the
archbishop of
Canterbury, Rowan
Williams, would have you
believe, many
"Palestinian" Christians
continue to flee cities
within Israel amid death
threats made by factions
within radical Islam.
Last Thursday, a
"Palestinian"-American
Evangelical Christian
pastor fled the town of
Ramallah to safety in
Jerusalem. For 16 years,
the American-born
pastor, Isa Bajalia, has
called Ramallah his home
while using his time to
spread the love of the
Gospel. Recently,
Bajalia began receiving
death threats by
officials from within
Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah
movement, for his
Christian beliefs. The
PA agreed to help
Bajalia, but for a
$30,000 fee.
