You should feel reassured. The potential for and future of peace between Israel and the so-called "Palestinians", as it were, now rests in "good" hands. If you believe this, then I'd be happy to sell you a tropical, summer retreat in Tobolsk. The best interests of Israel, as well as her national security, have now been rendered unto the advice and insight of former, pro-Israeli "stalwarts", with proven track records as peace envoys in the Middle East, such as Henry Kissinger, James Baker, Bill Clinton, and, you guessed it, Jimmy Carter.

Earlier last week, Dr. Rice invited Carter to the State Department  for the purposes of discussing the current state of affairs concerning the facilitation of peace between Israel and the "Palestinians", as well as to gather "tips" from the former president whose most recent book, "Palestine: Peace not Apartheid" has been labeled as "controversial" as it is "anti-Semitic". Would "Jimmy Carter" not be the very first name that popped into your mind when seeking the advice of an objective, competent authority on the subject of Middle East Peace?

In case you were not aware, it was Jimmy Carter's failed peace efforts that led to the abomination we now know as the Camp David Accords--a peace treaty that remains in effect to this day, as does the anti-Semitic hatred it spawned. It was Jimmy Carter who abandoned the Shah of Iran in 1977--an act of sheer incompetence that gave birth to the Islamic Revolution.

And now, Jimmy Carter's is the "voice of choice" in Condoleezza Rice's ear. To submit that Condoleezza Rice is "in way over her head" in the Middle East peace process would be an understatement of monumental proportions. Simply put, Condoleezza Rice is as "lost" as she is "desperate".

And Israel will suffer because of it.

She is no stranger to the criticism put forth by this organization. For some time now, we have dissected and presented her "agenda" in a manner that should leave no doubt in the minds of even the harshest of skeptics. Indeed, in all matters concerning Israel, Condoleezza Rice has assumed and played her part as "public enemy #1", rather brilliantly.  In fact, one would be hard-pressed to find a mutually-cohesive relationship between Israel's best interests and Condoleezza Rice's personal agenda. Furthermore, this writer would opine that the nature of Rice's recent, continual presence in the Holy Land would hardly support the notion that "Middle East peace" is the object of her affection.

Indeed, the one who subscribes to the notion that Condoleezza Rice is not only capable of facilitating true peace between Israel and the "Palestinians", but sincerely intent on seeking it, is the same person who, after jumping out of the window of a 20-story skyscraper, passes the 15th floor and shouts, "See? I'm fine! So far so good."

Middle East Peace - Condoleezza Rice and Jimmy Carter
